New Poster for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2

The trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2 is supposed to drop tomorrow, and I’m pretty excited for it. This might sound strange but I never think I’m going to enjoy an animated movie, ever. I kind of dread them. I get it from my mother, who even hates the Muppets. I know. I actually like most of the animated movies I’ve seen, so the dread is a mystery. Anyway, when How to Train Your Dragon came out, everyone told me it was so great, and I just thought, "No thanks!" And when my husband dragged me to it, I thought, "Fine, but you are going to owe me!" And then it knocked my [expletive] socks off. I loved it so so much. I might have cried. I definitely left the theater with a giant smile on my face. So I am not dreading the sequel at all. I actually can’t wait to see it. I hope it lives up to my giant expectations.

While we wait for the trailer to give us a hint of what our old gang has been up to, check out this new poster featuring Gobber, voiced by Craig Ferguson, and his dragon, Grump.

The sequel makes its way into theaters on June 13. The voice cast also includes Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Cate Blanchett, Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Kit Harrington, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Djimon Hounsou, and T.J. Miller.

Here is the (lengthy) official synopsis:

It has been five years since Hiccup and Toothless successfully united Vikings and Dragons on the island of Berk. While Astrid, Snotlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island's new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. At the beginning, Hiccup is pressured by Stoick to become chief, but Hiccup declines and flies away from Berk to explore new lands.[3] When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new species of dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace when Drago Bludvist plans to raise an army of dragons to take over the world. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons with the help of his long-lost mother and his friends.

Thanks to Coming Soon for the poster.
