New Spider-Man Costume Will "Blow People Away"
Now that Spider-Man has been cast and Marvel is shooting Captain America: Civil War, which is the film that their version of Peter Parker/Spider-Man will make his debut, we're all wondering what Tom Holland's Spidey costume is going to look like. Well, while we wait to see it, Marvel CCO Joe Quesada gives us an idea of what we can expect. During an interview with IGN he said:
"It's awesome, I've seen a lot of design work that's been done on the costume. I think there are elements of it that are really going to blow people away where they are going to go 'Ah, that's Marvel doing Spider-Man."
I don't know what exactly is going to be so mind-blowing about it, but I can't wait to see it! When asked whether or not the new suit would have web-shooters, he said:
"Things will be revealed as they are meant to be revealed. It's Spider-Man, what's not exciting about that? I can't imagine there's a person on the planet Earth that can't relate to some aspect of Spider-Man or Peter Parker, and he is for all intents and purposes, he is Marvel's Mickey Mouse. He is the icon of so much of what we have was built upon, so to create that movie along with our Sony partners it's phenomenally exciting. I know Kevin Feige and his team have some great ideas. Some wonderful theories that we have all chimed in on."
You can watch the full interview with Quesada below. In it he talks a little bit more about Spider-Man, as well as the Daredevil casting.
Holland will first appear as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War on May 6th, 2016, and return in the untitled Spider-Man solo film with Marisa Tomei as Aunt May on July 28th, 2017.
