New STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Featurette Spotlights The Conclusion of The Skywalker Saga

Lucasfilm has shared a new featurette for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker titled “Conclusion” and it highlights the end of the epic Skywalker saga. The video includes interviews with director J.J. Abrams and some of the main cast of the film as they talk about closing out the saga. It also shows off some fun archive footage of older interviews and behind-the-scenes clips from the original trilogy.

There’s one line in this new featurette that kind of hit me and my emotions a bit. Poe is flying the Millennium Falcon as they are in the middle of some heavy action and he says, “last jump, maybe forever!” as he is about to make the jump to lightspeed. Check out the featurette below.

The cast for The Rise of Skywalker include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo and Billie Lourd. New cast members include Naomi Ackie (Doctor Who), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings), and Keri Russell (The Americans), who will also be joined by veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian. The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
