New Trailer For Robert Kirkman’s Demonic Horror Series OUTCAST

Robert Kirkman’s upcoming new horror series Outcast is one of my most anticipated series that’s coming later this year. This series looks freakin’ awesome! The series stars Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous), who is a wildly underrated actor. I’m extremely happy to see him land the lead role in a series like this and I hope it’s successful.

The series is based on the comic book (created by Kirkman), and the story centers on a guy named Kyle Barnes who battles the devil as a series of demonic possessions plague a small community. I love the nightmarish and dark tone of the series and this latest trailer gives you a taste of the horrific imagery the show has to offer. Here’s the synopsis:

The series follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson, a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever.
Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) stars as Barnes, a man searching for answers, and for redemption, who sequesters himself from those he loves for fear of causing greater hurt. Philip Glenister stars as Reverend Anderson, a West Virginia evangelist who believes he is a soldier in God’s holy war against the forces of evil on Earth. An inveterate drinker and gambler, he doesn’t believe God intends people to sweat the small stuff. Gabriel Bateman stars as Joshua Austin, an eight-year-old who lives across town from Kyle. To his family’s dismay, he appears to be in the clutches of demonic possession, but there’s something very different about this possession and its connection to Kyle Barnes.

The pilot episode was directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next and The Guest). The series is set to premiere on June 3rd, 2016.
