New Trailer for the Slapstick Comedy PADDINGTON

The Weinstein Company has released an amusing US trailer for their upcoming family comedy film Paddington, which is based on the 1958 British children's book series created by Michael Bond. I don't remember the last time I saw a movie with fun slapstick style comedy. The first thing to pop into my head is Mr. Bean. This film follows the silly adventures of a bear, who is making an attempt to live in modern society.

Ben Whishaw (Skyfall, Cloud Atlas) provides the voice of Paddington. The movie was produced by David Heyman of the Harry Potter franchise and directed by Paul King. Here's the synopsis:

Paddington tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says 'Please look after this bear. Thank you,' and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.

The entertaining looking film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters, Michael Gambon, and Imelda Staunton. It will be released on January 16th, 2015.
