New YU-GI-OH! Anime Series Is Coming in 2017
If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, you'll be happy to hear that a sixth new anime series is currently in development, and it is going to be released in 2017. It's being produced by Gallop, and it will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
The news was shared on the official franchise Twitter account along with an image of its protagonist Yusaku Fujiki. There are absolutely no other details on the series, its story, its cast, or anything else. But the main theme song is reportedly going to be "One step forward, Let's try!"
Crunchy Roll offers us some information on the theme of the series, explaining:
"The latest 6th installment is aimed at children who give up their dreams before actually trying due to information overloading, hoping to encourage them to take a step to try things that they like and that they are interested in. The protagonist Yusaku is a boy who excessively hates to stand out and not noticeable at his school. But through the duels, he meets various type of people, then starts to take a step and try things."
Can't complain about a TV series that inspires kids to attempt to live their dreams! The fifth Yu-Gi-Oh series currently on the air is Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, and it's expected to end by the time this sixth series begins. There's also a new movie coming out soon called Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Side of Dimensions, and it will get a limited U.S. release starting on January 27th. Here's a synopsis for that film:
