Nintendo Releases Karaoke Game to Wii U... Hilariously Forgets to Censor Lyrics
A new karaoke game for the Wii U has tons of uncensored content containing inappropriate lyrics with little or no warning to players of the game. Nintendolife says the game, which was created by Joysound, contains offensive lyrics to songs such as Korn's "Freak on A Leash" and Afroman's "Colt 45." This news comes just after Nintendo announcing this morning that they would be removing Swapnote, a note exchange service through the 3DS due to inappropriate content.
I have to say while I see the problem for Nintendo, the pictures appearing on the web are hilarious. Mii's crowding around and dancing where lyrics like this are busted out.
Personally, despite my love for karaoke I skipped this game because I figured the songs would be lame. After reading this. I'm for sure wanting to try it out for free (which you can in the Wii U eshop) and might even buy it provided they don't patch it! It's Nintendo though, so don't expect them not to fix this incredible oversight by one of their affiliates.
