Official Trailer for Marvel's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: THE TELLTALE SERIES
So a brand new trailer has been released for Telltale's newest addition to their story-heavy games. That new game is Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The trailer is great and gives you just enough to be interested but not so much that it gives everything away. It stars all our favorite guardians as they go up against Thanos, all of whom want the Galactic Macguffin.
The series will have Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien as Gamora, fan favorite Nolan North as Rocket Racoon, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax, and Adam Harrington as Groot.
The action looks awesome, and the style and art of the Guardians and other characters is cool and slick. Star-Lord looks like a badass, and Gamora looks like the comic Gamora that I know and love. Plus, the song at the end is a solid powerhouse that pays tribute to the film's love of music. It is a good trailer that has me hyped
Now, while I stand by this trailer being good, and the game looks like it is going to be a lot of fun with the same fun kick that the Guardians Movie has, there is one thing that rubs me kind of weird. It's not a huge thing, and it's probably an unjustified thing, but I just don't 100 percent feel it for the Star-Lord voice. Maybe it's because I'm so used to Chris Pratt's dulcet tones piping into my head and he is charming and lovable above all else, but the Star-Lord just seems not right.
There is a difficulty when you are so used to one person's voice playing a certain part and then have someone elsetrying to do the same part, but I don't have an issue with any of the other voice actors. They sound different but none bother me quite like Star-Lord does. But I trust Telltale's casting choice. They have done great work in the past with their choices. Post what you think about the new trailer and how everything looks and sounds down below.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe's unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.
