PACIFIC RIM Anime Is Expected in 2020 with Two Seasons Already Ordered

It has been several months since it was announced that Netflix was making a Pacific Rim anime. Thanks to IGN, we’ve learned slightly more. At Project Anime, Elie Dekel of Legendary Entertainment revealed that two seasons have been ordered for the project and the first of those is currently slated for a 2020 release. In addition, Dekel made the following statement:

[This is] one of the biggest budget anime series I’ve had the pleasure of working on, and I think that speaks to the commitment of Netflix and Legendary [to anime].

The anime series will follow two siblings who pilot an abandoned Jaeger in hopes of finding their missing parents. I’m really interested in checking out this series. Mecha anime with potential for Kaiju? I’ll bite.
