Peyton Reed Reveals Details of ANT-MAN's Alternate Ending

While talking to Cinemablend, Ant-Man director Peyton Reed revealed some details on an alternate ending he originally had for Ant-Man that would have tied up a loose end.

SPOILERS Ahead:

Ant-Man amusingly concludes with Luis (Michael Peña) giving Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) some information that he heard through the grapevine that the Avengers are looking for him. The alternate ending would have featured Ant-Man taking down Mitchell Carson (Michael Donovan) and getting the Cross particles back. Carson is the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who gets his face slammed into the table by Pym. Reed explains:

"At the end of the movie he gets away and has these Cross particles, and there was a sequence where Ant-Man has an encounter with him. But then for a couple reasons, it felt like maybe we should leave those particles out there. In that original thing, he took Martin Donovan out and got the particles."

There must be a reason why they let Carson get away. I imagine that it's not the last time we see him or the Cross particles that he got away with. Only Marvel knows when and where Carson could pop up again, but when he does, I hope it's for something cool that will wow the fans.
