Pixar Releases First Teaser Trailer for THE GOOD DINOSAUR
Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Pixar's The Good Dinosaur. The animation studio has a solid track record of telling great stories, and hopefully this one is no exception. The trailer doesn't give much info in terms of story, but it gives us a look at the beautiful style and tone of the movie.
The story is set in an alternate reality where an asteroid never destroyed the dinosaurs, and it follows an Apatosaurus named Arlo who becomes friends with human cavemen. Here's the synopsis:
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
During CinemaCon, Disney CCO John Lasseter talked a little big about the film saying:
“This is a boy and a dog story, but the roles are reversed. Arlo, the dinosaur, is the boy in the story and Spot is the dog.
“It’s unlike anything we’ve had before. The level of believability we’re striving for in this film is going to be breathtaking.”
The movie features the voices of Lucas Neff, Neil Patrick Harris, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, Judy Greer, and John Lithgow. The Good Dinosaur opens in theaters on November 25th.
