Plask Launches Software to Make Motion Capture More Accessible

Plask is a new 3D animation startup company that offers premium motion capture and animation SaaS in an effort to make 3D animation more accessible than ever.

The startup is backed by Naver, Samsung C-Lab, and KT Corporation and has been fine-tuning their product in beta testing for over six months at animation production companies, entertainment studios, and game developers.

For free, you can get access to motion capture for a single person, render 30 seconds a day, gain access to 1 GB of storage for a personal asset library, and more. Meanwhile, for $50 a month (billed annually), you can get 60 minutes of rendering a month, access to multi-person motion capture, and more. I’m really interested to see how this impacts things.

Will Vtubers utilize this tech? Will smaller game studios be able to do more? I’m intrigued.
