Artist Mauricio Abril created this humorous piece of art called "Poor Spidey." It features Spider-Man being pulled away from The Avengers because he's not allowed to play with them in the movies. This is what the artist had to say about it in a statement:
"I suppose this is what happens when you cross fan art with social commentary. I came up with the idea for this gag illustration after watching 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' on opening weekend, but only just now got around to finishing it. It pretty much summarizes how I felt about the new franchise, the larger Marvel cinematic universe and the realities of binding contracts."
I hope that one day we see these characters come together in a film. If it happens, though, it won't be for a very long time.
