RAINBOW BRIGHT is Being Resurrected for TV

The classic 1980s cartoon Rainbow Bright is going to make a comeback. There are no details on the project or what the animation style will look like. All we have is an Instagram photo of the script from actress Emily Osment who will be providing the voice of the colorful hero. It came along with the following caption:

"First day on the job! Very stoked to be back doing some animation this summer. See you soon! Love, Emily aka Rainbow Brite."

I remember Rainbow Bright being extremely popular, to this day there are still cosplayers out there that dress up as the character. I'll admit, I watched Rainbow Bright, but that's only because I had a friend who was a girl when I was kid that I used to play with, and when I was at her house she got to watch the cartoons she wanted to watch, and one of those was Rainbow Bright. 

The new version should be an anime! Thanks to io9 for the tip.
