Review: CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is an Overwhelming Joyful Experience

The world is kind of a dark place right now. There’s a lot of crazy stuff going on in it. Morale is down, people are trying to keep up with life, succeed in their jobs, and they are making sacrifices to succeed. Along the way, people forget the really important things in life. Leave it to Winnie The Pooh to light the way and bring us some heartfelt joy and happiness.

In this hectic world that we are living in, a movie like Christopher Robin is a breath of fresh air, and is here to remind us that life doesn’t always have to be so serious. That even as adults we can still strive to have that childlike wonder and fun that we used to have when we were kids.

Christopher Robin is the magical and inspiring film that the world needs right now and it’s filled with lots of important, yet simple wisdom that all comes from a silly old bear.

The story starts off by following Christopher Robin from an imaginative, loving and playful child, to the moment he left Hundred Acre Wood for boarding school. It's at this moment that he tells Winnie the Pooh and his friends that he would never forget them. It then shows how the hardships of life changed him over the years, hardened him, and made him forget about the wonderful times he spent in Hundred Acre Wood. It also shows us how his job became the most important thing in his life. It’s at this point in his life where he is starting to choose work over family that Winnie The Pooh decides to re-enter his life.

I won’t spoil any of the story details because the movie is meant to be experienced, but Christopher Robin does embark on an adventure with his friends, and in the process it reminds him of what that most important things in life are.

This movie affected me in a profound way because I saw a lot of myself in Christopher Robin. I’ve found myself faced with similar situations and I’ve even made similar decisions. It’s was a real eye-opener for me and there are life lessons taught in this film that I really took to heart. Things that I want to implement in my life. It was a truly inspiring film.

Not only are their lessons to be learned, but it was an all around fantastically made movie! Director Marc Forster did an amazing job bringing this story to life and these classic characters from Hundreds Acre Wood were brought to life in the most perfectly charming way! They are everything that you hope them to be. All of the personalities that you love about them are right there for you to love and enjoy. The film itself was beautifully shot and the performances of Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell were perfect for the film

Christopher Robin was an overwhelming joyful, heartfelt, magical, and emotional movie going experience. I can’t recommend this movie enough! It’s a film that is both filled with entertainment, laughter, and teaching moments that can inspire us to live better and fuller lives. It will help you remember what it is like to be a kid again filled with child-like wonder.
