Robert Kirkman Confirms Title of THE WALKING DEAD Spinoff
We've already seen our first look at AMC's upcoming spin-off of their wildly popular The Walking Dead, but until now, we weren't 100% certain what the network was going to call it. Now comic creator Robert Kirkman has taken to Twitter to confirm a title that had been rumored for months beforehand:
Well, there's something to be said for brand consistency, I suppose. It's not the most innovative title, but fans won't care about that: they'll care about whether or not the show can be as riveting as they think the original series is. (Personally, I'm hoping this show is much better than the original, which I just can't get into because of how slow the first season was.)
Fear The Walking Dead will star Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, House of Cards) and Cliff Curtis (Live Free or Die Hard, Sunshine), and it will take place in Los Angeles during the time when Rick is in a coma before the opening of The Walking Dead pilot. The show will air its first trailer during this Sunday's Walking Dead finale, and it will premiere sometime late this summer. If Kirkman is to be believed, there's even more news on the way, so stay tuned.
