ROUGH NIGHT Red-Band Trailer: Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, and More Kill a Stripper
Here's the first red-band trailer for Rough Night, a comedy starring Scarlett Johansson, Jillian Bell, Zoe Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, and Broad City's Ilana Glazer. The film previously had the title Move That Body, and you'll see why fairly quickly into the trailer: the story centers on a bachelorette party that accidentally kills a male stripper, and things go from bad to worse after that as the night spirals out of their control.
It's nice to see Johansson let loose in a mainstream comedy like this, because that's something she's never really had the opportunity to do before. And I'll be interested to see how Kate McKinnon handles that Aussie accent over the course of an entire movie. It's appropriate that this trailer is debuting on International Women's Day, considering we see movies like this with guys at the forefront all the time. Why not give the ladies a go?
Rough Night is written by Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs and is directed by Aniello, and it hits theaters on June 16.
