Rumor: CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Lifts Comic Plot Points
For those of you who don’t want to know a possible big plot point involving Captain America: Civil War: spoilers ahead. That being said, I will say that this isn’t the first time this particular rumor has been mentioned online. We’ve posted a similar rumor before, and I think a lot of fans are expecting it.
That Hashtag Show claims that they have received some heavy information regarding someone’s death in the film from a "source close to production." The show claims that ”the movie begins with a funeral scene, and it ends with a funeral scene.”
The following information is just a rumor since there is no confirmation, and it could be completely false, but for discussion's sake… here we go.
The show goes on to claim that the funeral at the beginning of the film is for Peggy Carter. The second funeral in the film will be that of Captain America himself, Steve Rogers. They go on to reveal some specific details leading up to his death saying:
"During the film, Steve will make a deal with the government, stating that they are not to hunt down the people that allied with him in the Civil War. After Steve surrenders and is taken into custody he is killed."
They go on to say that ”Cap's death is left a little ambiguous as to whether this was all planned out or not,” and that Tony Stark will be extremely upset at Steve's funeral, which is obvious. I’m sure everyone at the funeral would be torn up about his death.
It’s then explained that Captain America’s legacy will live on even though he’s dead. They claim that there’s a scene that involves Sharon Carter, Winter Soldier, and Falcon. Apparently, in that scene each of them pick up Cap's shield. In the comic books, the Winter Solider and Falcon have both have taken on Captain America's mantle. It seems like one of them will take over the shield… but who will it be? Winter Solider has been previously rumored to be the one, but I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out!
Captain America: Civil War will arrive in theaters on May 6th, 2016. Watch the video below in which they explain all of this in a little more detail.
