Ryan Reynolds in Talks to Star in Sony's THE ROSIE PROJECT
Deadline recently announced that Ryan Reynolds is potentially going to star in a rom-com called The Rosie Project. If you feel like you have heard of this movie before, you have. The film was originally was going to be directed by Richard Linklater and star Jennifer Lawrence. Both have since pulled out of the movie. It will be an adaptation of the book of the same name, written by Graeme Simsion.
The story revolves around Professor Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially awkward genetics professor who has decided that it is time to find a wife. Being the analytically minded person that he is, he develops something called The Wife Project. The Wife Project’s sole purpose is to find him the perfect wife, according to the parameters that he has set. Then Rosie enters into his life. She is everything that The Wife Project says he will not like. Yet, he still finds himself attracted to her.
There is no word on who will be playing the female lead in this film, but we will let you know as the info comes out.
I know I am not supposed to, but now I can only think of Reynolds as Deadpool and that is what I am going to expect from him. If there are no quirky one-liners and crazy awesome explosions, I’m out. Is that wrong?
