Sacha Baron Cohen is finally opening up about why his Freddie Mercury biopic fell apart. The actor tells Howard Stern that he and Queen had very different opinions on how the movie should progress. Cohen wanted to explore the personal life of Freddie and the wild lifestyle that he led. Queen wanted the movie to be about the band with Freddie dying midway through the movie, AND THE BAND FIGURING OUT HOW TO MOVE ON WITHOUT HIM!

Seriously wtf...who would watch that? As cool as it would've been to see Cohen play Freddie, I'm glad he stepped away after hearing that nonsense.
