Samuel L. Jackson's Run as Nick Fury Might Be Coming to an End

It has been awesome seeing Samuel L. Jackson in the role of Nick Fury over the past several years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it looks like his time could be coming to an end. During an interview with IGN, the actor revealed how many more films is in his contract, saying:

Yeah, I’ve only got two more movies in my contract. [Laughs] That might be the end of it, unless I get an extension.

The big question is...will Marvel extend the contract? Do they want to keep the character around in the universe a little longer? If they do, they'll obviously have to renegotiate the terms, and I imagine, things are going to get a bit pricier.

Of course there's the option of wrapping up Fury's place in the story over two more films, and then let him ride off into the sunset of retirement. If he's still alive, there's always a chance that somewhere down the road they could bring him back for another adventure. I would hope that they don't kill him off if they wanted to get rid of him. But it sure would create a powerful plot point to propel the the story of our heroes forward.

What would you like to see Marvel do with the character? Have Marvel extend the contract and keep him involved as long as they can, retire him, or kill him?
