SAMURAI JACK Is Looking Badass in Upcoming Series Revival!
A new piece of promo art has been released for Genndy Tartakovsky's upcoming Samurai Jack revival, and as you can see, he's looking more badass than ever! I couldn't be more excited that Samurai Jack is coming to Adult Swim so that Tartakovsky can finish what he started.
In the original series, a young samurai Jack is sent into the future by evil wizard Aku. Jack is forced to embark on a quest to return to the past and undo the destruction caused by Aku. Along the way, Jack enlists allies to defeat some of Aku's henchmen and other villains before getting to the top dog to defeat him and find the portal that can return Jack to his own time.
After ten years, fans will finally get to see this character return to finish his journey. In an interview a while back Tartakovsky said:
“I think through the years, after we finished Jack, almost every year it seems like Samurai Jack has gotten more and more popular and more and more people have seen it. I feel like it’s culminating to a fever pitch almost. I feel like it’s time to maybe finish the story."
The revival is currently in development, and the show is set to return later this year during Adult Swim's Toonami block. To see a previously released teaser poster and promo video for the upcoming series, click here.
