DreamWorks Animation has released the first trailer for their animated feature film adaptation of the classic children's book series Captain Underpants. If you're a fan of the books, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this trailer for Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie because it's just as silly as the books are. 

This raucously subversive comedy for the entire family tells the story of two overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold, who hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.

The film was directed by David Soren (Turbo) and features a talented voice cast that includes Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) as George and Harold, comedian Nick Kroll as the villainous Professor Poopypants, Jordan Peele as nerdy tattletale Melvin Sneedly, and Ed Helms as Captain Underpants.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie is set to be released in theaters on June 2nd.
