SOUTH PARK Targets Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and "Why Disney Movies All Suck Now"
I recently got around to watching the latest episode of South Park, “Panderverse,” and in it, Cartman realizes his greatest nightmare is being replaced by a “diverse woman.” When talking to he mom in the episode, Cartmen said: “It wasn’t just me, they were taking all my favorite people and replacing them with diverse women complaining about the patriarchy.”
At that point, Cartman pleads with his mom asking: “Will you check under the bed and make sure there are no Disney executives under there? I’m scared Mom! Will you please just look and make sure Kathleen Kennedy isn’t under my bed!”
Cartman’s mom responds: “Kathleen Kennedy is not under your bed. I’ve told you there’s no such thing as Disney executives who replace everyone you love with diverse women who complain about the patriarchy. Now be a big boy.”
Later in the special Kathleen Kennedy does show up and reveals to Cartman that she and Disney CEO Bob Iger have been using an AI artifact known as “the Pander Stone”, which has the power to make the same movie over and over again, appealing to the masses. Kenndy ends up using the Pander Stone so much that it fractures the multiverse with Cartman and Kennedy sent to the wrong universe.
After Kennedy explains all of this to Cartman, he says to her, “That’s actually the best explanation I’ve heard as to why Disney movies suck now.” You can watch that clip below.
