Spectacular Proof of Concept Trailer for Sci-Fi Monster Movie THE LEVIATHAN

Proof of concept trailers can be cool (see: The Raven, Deadpool, etc), but it's not every day that one comes along and absolutely blows me away. The Leviathan is a sci-fi monster movie that Oscar-nominated director Ruairí Robinson hopes to get made, and he's created this short trailer in hopes of convincing the right people that he has a strong enough vision to make it happen. He's teamed up with Fight Club screenwriter Jim Uhls, creature designer Jordu Schell (Avatar), and concept artist Jim Murray (whose work you can see in the photo above), and the result is pretty damn spectacular: it's about a bunch of people who hunt giant flying whale creatures above the clouds with laser blasters! By the early 22nd century mankind had colonized many worlds. Faster than light travel was made possible by harvesting exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen. Those that take part in the hunt are mostly involuntary labor.
