Spider-Man Finally Unleashed in New Trailer For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Finally! This is what the fans have been waiting to see.

Disney and Marvel have just released a brand new trailer for Captain America: Civil War, and the most important bit of new footage involves the official unveiling of Spider-Man. Check out the trailer at the bottom of the page, then hop back up here for some quick analysis.

There are so many cool shots in this trailer, starting with the one of Sebastian Stan's Bucky/Winter Soldier in that containment facility and finishing with the Spider-Man reveal at the very end. General Ross shows the new Avengers lineup footage of all the destruction they've been a part of in recent years, which is hard for them to watch — especially Scarlet Witch, who experienced the effects of that level of destruction firsthand.

We all know the basic story of the movie by now, but there's some nice setup between Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) that establishes where they stand on the issue of government regulation of superhero activity. We get a better look at the highway chase between Black Panther and Bucky, which looks like an awesome display of Black Panther's speed and abilities.

The trailer makes us think that Winter Soldier shoots War Machine out of the sky, though if you slow it down and look at the backgrounds, those two shots don't match up. (I'm not saying Bucky doesn't shoot Rhodey down, but if it does happen, it probably doesn't go down exactly as depicted here.) That event appears to be the big turning point in the movie, and Tony's proclamation of "I was wrong about you. The whole world was wrong about you," cuts right to the core of these characters' relationship that's been built over these movies thus far.

A little while later, there's a montage of many of the team members in action, including new addition Ant-Man jumping off of Hawkeye's arrow, before Cap is decked by Crossbones. Then there's that shot of the two sides facing off at the airport that looks like the opening of X-Men: The Animated Series, and the official introduction of Tom Holland's Spidey into the MCU. It makes perfect sense that Tony would call Peter Parker "Underoos," too, so there's a nice lighthearted character moment amid all of these serious events.

There's also a new poster and a few new photos that came along with it, so check those out at the bottom of the page.
