SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Announced With a Release Date

Sony Pictures is so excited about Spider-Man: Homecoming that they went ahead and announced the sequel with a release date. The movie is being referred to as Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, but we all know that's not going to be the title. The sequel is set to be released on July 5th, 2019. We've got a ways to go before we see it, and it was kind of a no-brainer that they would make a sequel, but now we know when you can expect it.

There's no word on who will be back to develop the sequel, but I imagine many of the main players from the first film will return to work on it like director Jon Watts, writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan GoldsteinTom Holland, Marisa Tomei, and a few others. But we'll just have to wait to see how this first movie plays out first and if Marvel wants to work with them again.

The studio also announced that Bad Boys 4 will be released on Memorial Day weekend, on May 24th, 2019. The third installment of the film franchise, Bad Boys for Life, is being directed by Joe Carnahan and sees the return of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. It comes out on January 12, 2018. I assume the two actors will be back for the fourth film as well.
