STAR TREK BEYOND Has a New Release Date
Paramount Pictures has moved the release date for Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond from July 8th, 2016 to July 22nd. The movie is currently in production, and the reason that the release of the film was pushed back was so that it could be released on more IMAX theaters. Apparently, on July 8 the majority of the IMAX theaters will be filled with Warner Bros. Tarzan movie. Now the film will open up alongside films such as 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Collusion Course and Warner Bros.’ Guy Ritchie-directed King Arthur.
Star Trek Beyond will be released in time for the 50-year anniversary of the launch of the classic sci-fi TV series, which debuted on September 8th, 1966. I'm curious to see how this new movie turns out, especially with Lin at the helm and a script that was written by Simon Pegg.
