Striking New Trailer for Guy Ritchie's KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD

“I am here now because of you – you created me.”

Warner Bros. released a brand new promo spot for Guy Ritchie and Charlie Hunnam's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. It's called "Kingdom," it sets a very different kind of mood for the legend of King Arthur, and I love it! I've been a fan of Ritchie's style since I first saw Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, and I love that he's brought that same style to this legendary medieval story and mixed some pretty cool fantasy elements into it that you'll get a glimpse of in this trailer.

The film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is set to hit theaters on May 12th. The movie also stars Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, and Eric Bana.
