Stunning GAME OF THRONES Posters To Be Given Away at IMAX Screenings

(Spoiler warning for the final two episodes of Season 4 of Game of Thrones.)

When news came out that Game of Thrones would be playing in IMAX theaters, I was excited because I thought HBO might show the Season 5 premiere in the large format theaters so people could experience never-before-seen looks at Westeros on the biggest possible screens. I was a little disappointed to discover that the network had only remastered the final two episodes of Season 4 (though you will get to see an exclusive trailer for the upcoming season, so that's kind of cool). IMAX and HBO have actually delayed the release by one week and added theaters due to high demand (find out where it's playing), and they're now offering one more reason why you should think about buying tickets.

The first 300 IMAX ticket holders for Thursday night opening show (January 29th at 10pm) will receive one of these awesome posters from artist Robert Ball, who created interpretations of the most iconic deaths of each episode of the series. His work is absolutely breathtaking (though I'll warn you against visiting his site unless you're completely caught up on the show), and any of his prints would look awesome displayed just about anywhere. If you're lucky enough to be one of the first 300 people with tickets (which go on sale here today), you'll get a poster featuring Ygritte from "The Watchers on the Wall" (at AMC IMAX locations) or Tywin Lannister in "The Children." Very, very cool stuff. Good luck getting one!
