Summer Movie Sneak Preview from Retro 1982 News Report - Great Year for Sci-Fi!

Here's an old 1982 entertainment news report from Entertainment Tonight that offers viewers a sneak peek at some of the big films of that summer. As you'll see, it was a great summer of classic sci-fi! This is how people got their movie news back in the day! There was no internet to look this shit up. People had to watch shows like Entertainment Tonight, but back then Entertainment Tonight was a respectable entertainment news show, not the utter garbage that it is now.

The summer of 1982 brought us movies such as Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, Steven Spielberg’s E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Tobe Hooper’s Poltergeist, John Carpenter’s The Thing, Steven Lisberger’s TRON, and Nicholas Meyer’s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

I have memories of seeing E.T. and Tron in the movie theater with my parents back then. I was four years old. Those were some fun times at the movies!

Damn! What a year!
