Super Cool Trailer for THE BOY AND THE BEAST Anime Film
Here’s a great trailer for an upcoming anime film called The Boy and the Beast. The trailer features a training montage of a young boy who is learning the art of martial arts from his supernatural bear master.
The story centers on Kyuta, “a boy living in Shibuya in modern-day Tokyo, who befriends and becomes the disciple of the lonesome beast Kumatetsu after he finds himself in a supernatural realm.”
The film was written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children), and we have an additional quote from him thanks to the Anime News Network:
“The movie is a training story about a boy who was separated from his parents and becomes a disciple of a bakemono [supernatural creature]. It’s going to be a traditional yet novel story.”
The Boy and the Beast will debut in Japan on July 11th. There’s no U.S. release date yet.
