Superman Ditches The Name Clark Kent For A New Secret Identity

I haven't read a Superman comic in years, but I'm vaguely aware of the major events the character has been experiencing recently, including a few months ago when he lost the power to fly. But now Supes has lost something else: his long-time alter-ego Clark Kent.

io9 points out that in today's Action Comics #45 (spoilers ahead), Superman has created a truck driver persona who goes by the name of Archie Clayton:

This change is a necessity for him in the wake of Lois Lane writing a story that exposed his secret identity and caused him to be fired from The Daily Planet. It allows him to go undercover and try to solve a conspiracy that's forming against him:

I won't pretend to be an authority on the comic version of The Man of Steel (the film version? That's another story), but I figured this might be the kind of interesting story development that could get lapsed comic readers to catch back up with the story to see how it all plays out. What do you think? Is Archie Clayton as good a name as Clark Kent?
