Taika Waititi Addresses Doctor Strange's Possible Appearance in THOR: RAGNAROK
Not long ago some photos surfaced from the set of Thor: Ragnarok that teased a connection to Doctor Strange. In the photo, Thor is holding a piece of paper with the address, "177A Bleecker St," which is the address of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum in Greenwich Village, New York. This led us to believe that maybe Thor and Loki were going to visit the Sorcerer Supreme for some help.
During a recent interview with Digital Spy, director Taika Waititi was asked if Doctor Strange would be making an appearance in the film. Of course, he played coy about the whole thing, so we still don't know for sure if Stange will be in the film or not.
"Ohhh I don't know. I am not sure if... I don't know actually. I can't comment on it. It may have just been something for the fans."
He was then asked if Benedict Cumberbatch will make a cameo in Ragnarok, to which Waititi replied:
"Might be something like that. Might be a little tease. Or maybe a tease just for people who wanted to zoom into that photo."
One thing he didn't say in his response was, "No. he's not in the movie." So the possibility is still open for Strange to show up, which would be awesome. I hope that it happens!
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
