THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS Reimagined in 8-Bit Cinema

We just published my review of Furious 7 and Vin Diesel is already talking about what might happen in the inevitable Furious 8, but the team at Cinefix is looking in their rear-view mirror and taking us all the way back to 2001 when the whole franchise started with The Fast and The Furious. They've given the first movie the 8-Bit Cinema treatment, and maybe it's just me, but the animation feels a little more like an anime than the normal 8-bit things they've done. I think my favorite part of this video is the tiny reference to Ja Rule ("Monicaaaa!"), one of the few people who hasn't been brought back in to the franchise over the years.
