The History of Aliens in Film: Video Presentation

If you're a fan of sci-fi films and the aliens that we’ve been introduced to over the years in the movies, you’ll want to watch this great video presentation from Digg. It’s called The History of Aliens in Film. It basically gives us a list of sci-fi film from 1902’s A Trip to the Moon to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We’ve sure come a long way in terms of how these films are presented, but the imagination that brought them all onto the big screen in the first place has always been strong.

From their earliest cinematic appearance in Georges Méliès’s “A Trip to the Moon” in 1902, our conception of life beyond Earth has changed to reflect our hopes and fears, the technology we’ve mastered, and our growing knowledge of the universe. Watch our depictions of extraterrestrial life change over nearly 100 films and 112 years.
