The Intensity Escalates in New Red-Band Spot for the Sci-Fi Thriller LIFE With Footage From SPIDER-MAN 3

We've got a new red-band trailer for Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal's sci-fi thriller Life. The more that I see of this film the better is starts to look. This latest trailer definitely escalates the intensity and gives us our best look yet at the deadly alien creature from Mars that the crew of this spacecraft has to deal with as they fight to stay alive and prevent the creature from getting to earth.

This looks like it could be a solid sci-fi horror film. It has a great supporting cast that also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare, and Hiroyuki Sanada.

There is a funny aspect of this trailer that I want to point out, though. The gang over at io9 spotted a brief clip in it that is footage that was lifted right out of Spider-Man 3. You can see screenshots from each film below the trailer so that you can compare the two.

Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

The movie also has a great supporting cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare, and Hiroyuki SanadaLife opens on May 26th, 2017. Below you'll find a domestic trailer and an international one.

Here are the scenes in question. The first screenshot is from the Life trailer, the second is from Spider-Man 3. As you can see, these are clearly the same actors in the same shot. It's just used as a reaction shot so it works. It's just funny to see scene lifted from Spider-Man 3 in this trailer.
