The Lone Gunmen Are Returning To THE X-FILES!

I was really hoping that The Lone Gunmen would return to The X-Files in this upcoming six-episode revival. I didn't think it would be possible though because they were all killed off in Season 9! I'm excited to report though that the trio of counterculture patriots, passionate conspiracy theorists, government watchdogs, and computer hackers will be back!

The three characters are played by Tom Braidwood (Melvin Frohike), Dean Haglund (Richard Langly) and Bruce Harwood (John Fitzgerald Byers), and there's no information on how exactly they will return for the revival.

It's worth noting that these guys were brought back to life in the comic series. Mulder goes to dig up the graves of The Lone Gunmen at the Arlington National Cemetery, and it's there that he's confronted be Frohike who is alive and well. It's then revealed that there's a stairway under one of the caskets and that leads to Mulder being reunited with the rest of the trio. They basically faked their deaths so that they could continue their operations more secretly.

There's always a chance that the new series could use this plot point to help explain their return. We'll find out when the show returns on January 24th!

The actors will reunite with David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis. The actors new to the series include Joel McHale, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, Kumail Nanjiani, Robbie Amell, and Lauren Ambrose.
