The Poster for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Has Been Unleashed!
As promised, here's the official poster for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens! It comes with the official announcement that the next trailer for the film will debut tomorrow on Monday, October 19th during the halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football. I don't really watch a lot of sports, but you can bet your ass that I'll be watching this game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles just so I won't miss this trailer! The game starts at 5:15 pm PDT/8:15 pm.
There are a few interesting details in this poster, which includes our first real look at Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, a giant Death Star-type weapon, and no sign of Luke Skywalker. Maybe they are saving his debut for the trailer.
Following the trailer launch, tickets to the highly anticipated film will go on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold. Here are some additional details from the press release:
In conjunction with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debut, the Walt Disney Company is providing unprecedented company-wide on-air and social support (#TheForceAwakens) as well as tying in events and special activities for the day of the trailer release.
