THE POWERPUFF GIRLS Returning in 2016 with New Series

TV The Powerpuff Girls by Joey Paur

The Powerpuff Girls is one of the few shows that I genuinely enjoyed watching with my little girls. That show was just pure entertainment. I'm happy to report that they will be returning to Cartoon Network with a new animated series in 2016. My kids are going to be so happy when they hear this news! I'm looking forward to seeing what new adventures lie in store for these amazingly awesome characters.

Chief content officer, Rob Sorcher, had this to say:

“We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice, and Chemical X.”

Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products for North America, Cartoon Network Enterprises added:

“As the original ambassador of ‘girl power,’ The Powerpuff Girls brand continues to resonate with people of all ages and there is tremendous excitement around introducing Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup to a new generation. With proven success and great content plans in place, there’s so much potential that we’re looking forward to explore with our licensing partners in the coming weeks.”

The cartoon first premiered in 1998 and was created by Craig McCracken. It will be fun to watch this show with the kids.
