The Purple Man Takes The Stage in New JESSICA JONES Photo

Marvel and Netflix have done a terrific job getting people amped up for its new series Jessica Jones. I feel like even people who didn't really get on board with Daredevil will be down for giving this show a shot because it looks so different (in a good way).

The newest trailer hints at the extent to which David Tennant's Kilgrave (aka The Purple Man) has his hooks in Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) mind, and a new image furthers that mentality by having him stand at a microphone, luring the superhero-turned-private-eye toward him. ScreenCrush points out that this photo has been added as the landing page header image for the Netflix series, so it's unclear if this exact images is a screenshot from an episode or was created strictly for promotional purposes.

Here's another small change that may be worth noting: the official synopsis has apparently been slightly altered. Here's the original synopsis:

After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

And here's the new one:

Haunted by a traumatic past, Jessica Jones uses her gifts as a private eye to find her tormentor before he can harm anyone else in Hell’s Kitchen.

It's not all that much different, but adding the words "haunting," "traumatic," and "tormentor" in there certainly plays up her relationship with Tennant's character and serves to create a different tone than DaredevilJessica Jones premieres on November 20th.
