"Shut up everybody, shut up! Don't move, don't speak, don't breathe. A new #Sherlock Special image has landed..."

The BBC has released a new old-school image of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman) in Steven Moffat's upcoming Sherlock Christmas special. The special is set in the Victorian era, and we'll be learning more about it this week at Comic-Con. In a previous interview with Moffat, he explained the Sherlock special,

“The special is its own thing. We wouldn’t have done the story we’re doing, and the way we’re doing it, if we didn’t have this special. It’s not part of the run of three episodes. So we had this to do it – as we could hardly conceal – it’s Victorian. Mark Gatiss and me, we wanted to do this, but it had to be a special, it had to be separate entity on its own. It’s kind of in its own little bubble."

There's still no word on when the special will air in the U.S., but that might change this week. Stay tuned for more details!
