Tobey Maguire to Make His Directorial Debut with Jo Nesbo's BLOOD ON SNOW

We all remember Tobey Maguire from years ago warming our hearts as Peter Parker in Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. Then breaking our hearts with Spider-Man 3. Well, now Maguire has made a career recently producing films and not web-slinging. He's produced The Fifth Wave, Z for Zachariah, and Rock of Ages. Also recently he can be heard in the film Boss Baby, but now he's preparing to direct his first feature film based on Jo Nesbo's novel, Blood on Snow.

Blood on the Snow is about a fixer named Olav who works for an Oslo crime boss. Then he falls in love... with the Boss's wife.... who he's been hired to kill. Here's the full synopsis:

Pretty heavy stuff. There have been rumors that Leonardo Dicaprio will be playing Olav, but I think it will be great to see how Tobey Maguire does as a director. Actors often do great as directors because of their ability to direct other actors. With a good crew, this film could turn out to be a great action thriller.
