Tom Cruise Pitched An Idea For An EDGE OF TOMORROW Sequel
I freakin' loved Doug Liman and Tom Cruise's sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow! That was just a wicked awesome movie that seemed to blow everyone's expectations away. I've thought it would be cool to see a sequel for it, even though it's not really necessary. For those of you who are hoping to see a sequel, Cruise has added some fuel to your flames of hope.
In a recent interview with MTV, the actor reveals that he came up with an idea for the sequel. He doesn't reveal what the idea is, but he does say:
“I pitched it to [Rogue Nation director and Edge of Tomorrow screenwriter Christopher] McQuarrie and [Edge of Tomorrow director] Doug [Liman]. We were there one night and I was like, I’ve got an idea for it."
He's also already taken the idea Emily Blunt to as well, who kicked so much awesome ass in the original movie. He says:
“It could be so much fun. Gotta get Emily. I was like Emily, please. She was like, ’give me another year, please.'”
I'd totally be interested in seeing a sequel if it actually happens. Now, if it does happen, it's a long ways off, but it seems like the main players involved with the first film would come back to help develop the sequel. Would you be excited to see a sequel for Edge of Tomorrow?
