Tom Hanks' BIG Headed to the Small Screen

TV Tom HanksBig by Joey Paur

The rights to Tom Hanks' classic 1988 comedy Big have been picked up by FOX, who will be adapting it into a TV series. The Wrap reports that the network will be developing it into an "event series" that will be loosely based on the film, and that Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce (Enlisted) are set to write and executive produce the half-hour long comedy.

According to the report, the series will "explore what it means to be an adult and what it means to be a kid, and how in today's world those two things are more confused than ever."

Big is one of my favorite Hanks comedies. I'm not really sure what to expect from a series like this, but I do hope that it turns out to be good.
