Tom Hiddleston to Star in SKULL ISLAND!
Legendary Pictures announced at Comic-Con in July that they are making Skull Island, which will be a King Kong origin story. The studio has now announced that Tom Hiddleston (Thor, The Avengers) will star in the movie, and it will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who is the director of the fantastic indie comedy Kings of Summer.
The studio showed off a teaser of the film at Comic-Con that took us through Skull Island and ended with King Kong standing up through the trees, beating his chest and letting out that classic Kong roar.
Hiddleston is an great actor and a favorite among fanboys and fangirls. There's no word on who he'll be playing in the movie, but I'm glad that he's going to be in it. I'm sure Legendary is happy about it as well. I also think that Vogt-Roberts is talented director and that he'll do an awesome job bringing this story to the big screen.
The script for the King Kong prequel was already written by Max Borenstein, and it will be released on November 4th, 2016.
