Tom Hiddleston Wants to Play JAMES BOND If Offered the Role
Tom Hiddleston, who is best known for playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently did an interview with The Sunday Times in which he says he would be interested in playing James Bond. He’s a big fan of the franchise and thinks it would be a fantastic opportunity for him if it ever came knocking.
“I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly.”
Hiddleston is a fantastic actor who most recently starred in Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak and will be in the upcoming Hank Williams biopic, I Saw the Light. The guy has shown a wide variety and has a wide range in the role’s he’s taken as an actor, and I think he’s got the charisma to pull off 007.
Daniel Craig may not be coming back to reprise his role as Bond, so the spot is wide open for a new actor to take on the mantle of the secret spy. Do you think Hiddleston has what it takes to play Bond? Just imagine the actor wearing a tux, cooly standing at a bar ordering a shaken martini. It’s not hard to fathom at all.
