Trailer For a Fun-Looking Indie Sci-Fi UFO Comedy FOIL

Here’s a fun trailer for a little sci-fi UFO indie comedy titled Foil. In the film, an unusual piece of foil with potential alien origin causes a rift between two former best friends camping in the California desert.

The synopsis reads: “After opting out of their high school reunion to reconnect on a desert camping trip, Rex and Dexter realize their intentions for the weekend are at odds. Dexter, a failed filmmaker, hopes to harness a fabled vortex in the area to inspire a movie idea.

“Rex, a rebellious conspiracy theorist, plans to investigate a rumored UFO crash believed to explain the anomaly. Tensions quickly boil over when they meet an unusually friendly camper who claims to have found some wreckage from the crash: a mysterious piece of shiny foil.

“In over their heads, the two friends are unsure what to believe. Reconciling their past may be the only way either of them walks out of this desert with a future.”

This wacky-looking movie comes from filmmaker Zach Green, from a script he co-wrote with Devin O'Rourke. The movie stars Chris Doubek as Tom, Brian McGuire, Devin O'Rourke, Zach Green, Ari Stidham, Ashley Rae Spillers, and Jasmine Wattar.

Cranked Up Films will release Foil direct-to-VOD starting on May 10th, 2024.
