Trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Attached to THE HOBBIT?
Star Wars fans have been wondering when they will get to see the first trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We've heard that it will be coming in the next four to five weeks. Now it looks like we know exactly when we'll get to see it.
According to Star Wars 7 News, the trailer will be attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The site says they got the intel from a theater owner who was told The Force Awakens trailer would come out with The Hobbit. They also have a second source from a fan who talked to Thomas Gormley, the film’s first assistant director and frequent J.J. Abrams collaborator. That fan tweeted out the following information:
"Had a talk from Thomas Gormley today, when asked about the teaser trailer for Star Wars VII he said, 'You might wanna go see The Hobbit' :)"
Apparently, a few minutes after the tweet was embedded on the Star Wars 7 News site, not only was the tweet deleted, but so was the Twitter account from where the tweet originated. In case you're wondering if the the twitter account was a plant, the name was @RealReeceDeal, and the account has been active since 2012, so that doesn't seem likely.
There's no official confirmation of this, but it would make sense for the trailer to be attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. That's one of the last huge movies of the year, and it targets the Star Wars fan base. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
