TRANSPARENT Actress Conjures Up a Role in Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE

I still haven't made the time to watch Amazon's award-winning streaming series Transparent, but it looks like some people at Marvel Studios have. The Wrap reports that actress Amy Landecker, who plays oldest sibling Sarah Pfefferman on the show, has joined the cast of Doctor Strange in an undisclosed role.

We know that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon whose hands are badly damaged in an accident, leading him to learn the arts of magic and eventually become the Sorcerer Supreme. Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton is playing The Ancient One, Michael Stuhlbarg may play Nicodemus West, and Rachel McAdams is playing Christine Palmer (aka Night Nurse). I haven't read any Doctor Strange comics, so I'm not familiar enough with the lore to be able to speculate about who Landecker could be playing, but I'm sure some of you have some theories of your own to put forward in the comments. Maybe she'll be Clea, the Sorceress Surpreme, since that role was once rumored to be taken by McAdams? We'll find out soon enough.

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 6th, 2016. Click here to see some recent videos and photos taken on the movie's set.
